The song features New Orleans’ own songwriter and R&B artist Denisia and is produced by Kansas’ own KC Da Producer. The accompanying music video will be available on November 3rd. Her signature raspy New Orleans accent and raw street-savvy lyricism introduces the undertones of female empowerment.
Ms. Allie has been featured in Rolling Stone, Complex, Sonic, HipHopDX, Shade 45, Hip Hop Nation, among other publications. She has opened for artists such as Nas, Camron, G-Unit, B2K, and 504 Boyz during her time on the female rap groups, Blak Iyce and Gs Up. Accolades include winning “Best Female Artist” at the 2011 NOLA Underground Hip Hop Awards, starring in the feature film “Must Be the Music” in 2013, receiving a nomination for the “Slept on Artist of the Year” at the 2012 SEA Awards, and launching her new label imprint: “HAW Ent. LLC.” in 2014.
Inspired by her past relationships, Allie Baby wrote “No Feelings” to express her disgust and frustration with ex-boyfriends who insisted on coming back into her life. “In attempts to move on with my life, they did everything in their power to stifle my growth” says Allie. “Inevitably I became the woman with ‘No Feelings’ for [manipulative men].” With undertones of female empowerment, Allie reassures women that there is nothing wrong with putting yourself first after a toxic relationship. Denisia adds a sensational vibe and flavor to the chorus which echoes the song’s theme: “I can do bad all by myself.”
